When my father passed, I left California for Arizona to care for my mother through one of the hardest seasons of our family's life. In that time of reflection, I kept returning to the conversations he and I had shared about my dream of building a business worthy of the Martin family name.The dream was never about an industry. It was about a company that treats people well — where integrity matters, promises are kept, and relationships come before transactions. My father gave that dream its foundation. He taught us that our name is our promise, our work is our signature, and our character is our greatest achievement. He was also a man rarely without a camera — someone who saw beauty worth keeping and quietly preserved the moments most people let pass by.
The values came from my father. The skill came from my own career. For years I led operations across the food service industry - from a single location to entire regions - and in every role, keeping facilities spotless and caring for the equipment, so it lasted and costs stayed down, was part of the job. The teams I built were recognized among the top 1% in their companies and ranked #1 in customer service and operations across multiple brands.
Later, as a regional leader with one of the fastest-growing car wash companies in the country, I learned the science behind a truly spotless finish — how the minerals dissolved in ordinary water (total dissolved solids, measured in parts per million) are what cause the hard-water spots and film that everyday cleaning leaves behind, and why genuinely spot-free water is the difference between a good result and a great one. It's the same knowledge that makes solar panels produce more and glass stay clear longer. Somewhere in all of it, an idea took hold: to bring that discipline, professionalism, and know-how to work of our own — and to treat cleaning as the skilled, done-right craft it deserves to be.
Today, Martin Legacy Media is the parent company of Gbé ga Solar & Window Care and Legacy Lens Imagery. Different services, one purpose: to serve people with excellence and leave them better because they chose us. It's no accident that one of those companies exists to preserve memories through a lens — that was my father's gift, and Legacy Lens is one of the ways we carry it forward.
